Sunday School

Sunday School: Sunday school for children in pre-k through 7th grade is held during the 10 am worship hour.  On Sundays when we celebrate Holy Eucharist, children begin the morning in class for an age appropriate lesson of the word. They return to the service in time to share in the celebration of Eucharist with their families. On the fourth Sunday of the month, when we celebrate Morning Prayer, children, along with their teachers, meet in the Parish Hall for Children's Chapel, led by the Rev. Kate Malin or the Rev. Michael Kurth.

A lively and dedicated staff of volunteer teachers offer age-appropriate lessons and crafts.  The younger grades follow the Godly Play curriculum, a Montessori-based program.  The older grades use a variety of curricula, including the Episcopal curriculum, Weaving God’s Promises, to explore the stories within the Old and New Testaments, discuss the seasons of the church year and become familiar with the sacraments.

Sunday School runs from September through June.
